I visited QUESTION, where I will be receiving support as I launch my new business.
QUESTION is a co-creation facility where startup entrepreneurs and students from Kyoto gather to address the “?” (questions) that one person alone cannot solve, bringing together people from various fields to collectively search for answers.
The first floor features a CAFE, BAR, and LABO that are open to the public, even for non-members, and a variety of events are regularly held.
The second and third floors are coworking spaces for members only.
The fourth floor houses a tiered event space called “Community Steps.”
It’s a very open and relaxed space where seminars and other events can be comfortably attended.
The fifth floor is the “Students Lab.” Since Kyoto is a city with a large student population, they boldly designated this as a student-only space. Students can register as members for free, which is a great benefit.
The sixth floor is home to the Kawaramachi Branch of the Kyoto Shinkin Bank, which operates QUESTION.
The seventh floor has partitioned meeting rooms.
What particularly surprised me was the eighth floor, called “DAIDOKORO.”
It is equipped with full-fledged cooking facilities, which can be used for company gatherings, or as a trial kitchen for those starting a food and beverage business.
Additionally, meals prepared on the eighth floor can be served at events held on the first floor CAFE, BAR, and LABO.
The community managers are very kind, and not only do they connect QUESTION users with each other, but they also introduce companies to each other—those that have a win-win relationship with Kyoto Shinkin Bank’s clients—making them an invaluable ally for startups.
QUESTION is a facility where the community continues to grow, and I look forward to seeing its further development in the future.
