People tend to compare themselves between perfect instagram life and basic ordinary life when they are keep posting instagrammable picture on their SNS and having Finstagram account can be your real self without feeling pressure and take a break from being someone else on SNS.
The reason why Finstagram is good for you
Instagram is known as the most stressful social media nowadays and RSPH actually have the metrics about how stressful Instagram is. According to RSPH, Instagram is the worst SNS for younger generation’s mental health.
One of the reason why Instagram is bad for mental health is because people tend to compare themselves between you and everyone else. First of all, one of the reason why Instagram started to trending is because by posting photoshopped perfect instagrammable picture and gain likes, it fulfills your desire of recognition. So people are expecting to fulfill their desire of recognition by doing it and tries to post “better” picture than others and compare with others.
Also on public Instagram account, people follow those who barely know from school and stuff so some of them feel stressful to let them know their private life especially when you prioritize someone over someone because you have to post fake stories to make sense to some off them.
