You see lots of electric bird scooters everywhere on the street these days. Did you know that you can actually make money charging them and how ridiculously easy it is? And I personally tried myself, made $50 an hour charging bird scooters.
If you don’t know what bird scooters are, they are the newest and hottest startup tech company. Executive of Uber split up and created bird which is being called next air bnb of startups. It was recently evaluated over 2 billion dollars (yes, with the B).
So let’s get to the important part. How do you actually make $50 an hour with bird scooters? The answer that is bird scooters will actually pay you up to $20 per scooter to charge it and return it out the city so other people can start using it. I know what you’re thinking. It’s only $20 how am I gonna make $50 an hour?
Well, we can charge up to 5 bird scooters all in the exact same place that we take all in once, so you can technically make $250 an hour not only $50. It only takes us 10- 15 minutes to collect those 5 scooters, take them back home and charge them, how easy is that?
To make this easiest and most profitable for you, it makes the most sense if you are live in popular city. For example, near popular college, downtown, beach area and so on.
Bird is exploding now, it’s been to new cities every day. If bird is not yet in your city, be the first one, because first person who does things is the person who make the money most.
And currently bird is offering following cities. So if you ‘re live in following city, you can literally be the charger and make money with bird today.
So how do you actually charge the scooter?
First, you have to have access to the car, but if you don’t, you can ask friends or girlfriend / boyfriend to help you. Find a car, be a wolf and make it happen!
If you absolutely can’t find a car, you can still find scooter and carry few with scooter.
Lots of people are doing this charging thing to make money, but most of them are doing it wrong. What is that?

It is a website you can sign up as a charger. Bird will send you 3 chargers for free if you actually charge stuff. If you don’t charge anything, they have a capability to charge you $30for those chargers. So only sign up if you actually intend to charge things and start making money.
Once you receive chargers, go to app on your smartphone and change to “charger” mode.
Then you’ll see where birds are on the map and start picking them up. So you can start charging them over night.
There are three different types of bird.
Green: They were recently used and easiest to find. Since its easiest, bird gives you only around $5
Yellow: Little difficult to find sometimes because last used was little longer in the past. Bird usually gives you around $9-14
Red: Hardest to find. Bird usually reward you the most for these, they usually reward foe these around $17-25
It might be hard to find the red ones, but if you have time, you should go after red ones. Red tags are not always where they say they are, that’s why it’s hard to find, because it might be in someone’s backyard hiding. Any company don’t have perfect geo location services, so sometimes it won’t actually be there.
Generally it doesn’t worth the time, so the way we found the most profitable way to do this without investing only a little bit of time is to go after the yellow tag because the point of doing this is to make the most money with least amount of time invested.
Thing to remember:
★Scooters takes 5 hours to be full charged, and it costs 5 cents.
★Also bird ask you to return these scooters to the city within 3 days.
How do I return scooters to the city?
Go to app and change to charger
And look for what its called nest.
Map will show you the place and amount you can return to the city.
And tap claim nest.
Payment
Sometimes they will pay you on the same day if you return them to the city in the early morning around 4-7am otherwise next day.
If you live in the city where bird is offered, and you have access to a car, it makes a lot of sense to you to make some money aside. Obviously this is not the way to make money as a full time income, but the idea that you can make money while you sleep is beautiful and you should definitely try if you’re interested.
